About OneTap · Nashville, TN

Built by operators,
for the people
keeping things running.

The Story

Our story.

OneTap started with one operator, a stack of bad invoices, and a refusal to accept that this is just how the maintenance industry works.

Eric Schell spent years on the operator side, running properties, chasing vendors, paying for work he couldn't verify, waiting on quotes that never came. The industry hadn't moved in decades. Everyone was tired, and nobody was building.

So he started building. OneTap is his mission to change maintenance from the inside out: fair pricing instead of guesswork, vetted techs instead of whoever picks up, and a system that respects both the operator paying the bill and the technician doing the work.

It's not glamorous work. It's plumbing, HVAC, walk-ins, water heaters, broken doors, dead lights. But it's the work that keeps every city standing, and we think the people doing it deserve better tools.

What we believe

Six rules
we don't break.

These are the values we hire by, build by, and answer to. They sit on every wall in our office and behind every product call we make.

EmpathyRule 01

See the customer, be the customer.

If you've never run their day, you don't get to design it. We sit on the operator's side of the counter every single time.

OwnershipRule 02

Finish the job. Whoever's fault.

If a job comes back, we fix it, and we fix it right, even if the second visit is better than the first. The work isn't done until it's done.

TrustRule 03

Enable independence.

We hire people we trust to make calls without us. Then we get out of their way. Independence is how good work compounds.

CuriosityRule 04

Curiosity creates.

The best ideas come from the question someone was afraid to ask. We're loud about not knowing yet. That's where the work starts.

AmbitionRule 05

Thrive over survive.

We're not here to keep the lights on. We're here to build something operators have been waiting decades for. Aim accordingly.

HospitalityRule 06

Dinner ready, table set.

By the time the tech rolls up or the operator opens the app, the prep is done. Right person, right info, right parts. The work happens in the foreground because we did everything else in the background.

We pick up
where you live.

Our techs are your neighbors. When something goes wrong, you're not on hold with a call center in another time zone.

Music City is built on small operators: keeping the chicken hot, the drinks flowing, the live bands playing without a hiccup. They deserve the same dispatch tools the big chains have.

And we're not stopping in Nashville.
